What are biostimulator injections?
Biostimulator injections stimulate collagen production beneath the skin. Collagen supports firmness, elasticity, and youthful structure but declines with age, causing softened cheeks/temples, loss of definition, jaw/neck laxity, crepey texture, fine lines, hollowness, and thinner-feeling skin. Biostimulators gradually rebuild the skin’s underlying structure for a fresher, firmer, rested appearance rather than an immediate dramatic change.
Sculptra vs. Radiesse: What is the difference?
Sculptra and Radiesse are both biostimulating injectables, but they behave differently in the skin.
Sculptra

Sculptra is made with poly-L-lactic acid, also known as PLLA. It works gradually by stimulating collagen production and helping restore the skin’s structural foundation over time, supporting a natural-looking renewal of facial contours. Radiesse
Radiesse is made with calcium hydroxylapatite, also known as CaHA. It provides an immediate smoothing or lifting effect in certain treatment areas while also stimulating collagen and elastin production over time.
Radiesse may be a beautiful option for clients looking for improved definition, firmness, skin quality, and subtle structural support, especially in areas like the lower face, jawline, hands, neck, or décolleté depending on the treatment plan.

What can I expect during treatment?
About 30 to 60 minutes, depending on how many areas are being treated and the details of your personalized plan. It’s a comfortable, quick in‑and‑out appointment with minimal downtime.
How is the treatment performed?
Biostimulator injections are placed just beneath the skin using a fine needle or a small cannula. The exact technique, precise placement, and amount of product used will vary according to the specific treatment area, your individual facial anatomy, and whether the primary goal is restoring lost volume, improving overall skin quality, or providing deeper structural support.
How long does the appointment take?
Most biostimulator sessions take anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes, depending on treated areas and complexity. First visits may run longer for consultation, assessment, photos, and planning.
When will I see results?
Results develop gradually as your body begins producing new collagen. Some biostimulator injection treatments may provide an initial improvement, while others build more slowly over several weeks. How long do the results last?

Is there any downtime?
Downtime is typically minimal. Mild swelling, tenderness, redness, bruising, or firmness can occur and usually settles within a few days. Most clients return to regular daily activities shortly after treatment, although you may be advised to avoid intense exercise, excessive heat, alcohol, or facial treatments for a short period after your appointment.

After your appointment, we’ll provide personalized aftercare instructions based on the product used and areas treated.
In general, you may be advised to:
Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours
Avoid saunas, hot yoga, and excessive heat for 24 hours
Avoid facial massage unless specifically instructed
Avoid lasers, microneedling, or facial treatments on the treated area until cleared
Expect mild swelling, tenderness, redness, or bruising
Contact the clinic if you experience unexpected or prolonged symptoms
For Sculptra treatments, massage instructions may be recommended depending on your treatment plan. For Radiesse treatments, aftercare may differ based on the area treated and whether the product was used for structure or skin quality.
